It has been one month since John Kelly has been named Trump’s Chief of Staff. The former head of the Department of Homeland Security has been Chief for a month, and it has been a rocky one.
But, the news today is not about Kelly. It is the fact that there is no Head of the Department of Homeland Security. Trump has not even nominated anyone for this vital position.
There are thousands of DHS employees that are diligently working to keep our country safe. But what does it say to those employees and this important department in the US government when the President doesn’t even offer up names and nominees for it’s leadership.
Not only is the DHS missing leadership. So is the presidency.
